I cried twice on my wedding day. The first time was when my dad walked into the bridal suite and saw me dressed as a bride for the very first time and the second was when my dad walked me down the aisle. I used to jokingly call my dad John every once in a while. That's his name. He didn't like it at all. When I asked why, he said, "I worked really hard to be your dad."
Dads and their daughters have a special connection. My dad offers comfort, support, stability and unconditional love. He's kind and gentle-hearted and he cares a lot about people, especially about his family. I admit that I, even as a writer, haven't always found the words to tell him how much he matters to me. This Father's Day will be different.
If you wish to tell your Dad how much he means to you this Father's Day, I'd love to help turn your words into a personalized framable keepsake that says, "Dad, I appreciate you, I love you and you matter so much to me."
